The Opportunity
You will be accountable for the delivery of key strategic projects within McDonalds UK&I.

This will entail responsibility for the delivery of significant cross-functional projects led by your team, and oversight for critical projects being led by other functions.


As part of this you will build and lead a CoE for project delivery, developing your team and coaching those in the wider business performing PM roles.


A project management framework exists, and you will work closely with the broader Change Team to facilitate the continuous improvement of this.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop within the business a capability that is so urgently required.


What will my accountabilities be?
As a new role, you will have the opportunity to shape the Head of Project Delivery role over time, however your broad accountabilities are:

  • Delivery of projects/programmes assigned
  • Oversight of all critical projects in the portfolio during delivery providing line management and/or coaching as appropriate
  • Manage stakeholder engagement in relation to the critical projects/programmes, ensuring excellent representation in the appropriate forums
  • Build and lead the Project Delivery Centre of Excellence
  • Build the project management capability across the organisation, in conjunction with the Change Team and the Learning & Development function
  • Manage the identification and onboarding of new Project Managers flexing the contractor pool as required to meet future demands
  • Support the broader Change Team with the continual improvement of the project management framework and associated tools, providing feedback on the tools as they are used
  • Bring thoughtleadership and outside perspectives to the McDonalds UK&I business
  • Develop and maintain relationships with global teams where there are dependencies on projects and programmes in delivery remit
  • Providing objective and friendly challenge to everything we do through a project and change lens

You will be part of the Change team.
