Planning/Production Engineer - The Role:

An exciting position has become available for a full-time
Planning / Production Engineerbased in Berkshire Wokingham.
Tasks and responsibilities.

  • Ensure Operations of Equipment.
  • Collaborate with production managers to ensure optimum productivity and timely completion of orders and resolving any production issues to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Assist in expediting and prioritizing work orders when needed.
  • A focus and lead on shop floor data collection including analysis of actual vs planned and amending data in our MRP system (EFACs). This includes daily monitoring of SFDC accuracy through interaction with shop floor workers.
  • Build routings and create BOM'S (Bill of Materials) for parts to provide accurate costs and times to FD to improve costing accuracy in EFACS.
  • Produce regular management reports on problem areas and solutions to address.
  • Maintain quality and enforce organization standards.
  • Partaking in daily production schedule meetings.
  • Compliance at all times with our Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental framework and responsibilities.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned/required.

Planning/Production Engineer - Skills/Qualifications:


  • Previous handson experience gained in a shopfloor role would be ideal.
  • Proactive with a "can do" attitude.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Able to multitask and prioritise.
  • Able to use your own initiative as well as working as part of a team.
  • Able to "take ownership" of issues and see them through to resolution.
  • Strong and intermediate Excel & Data Analysis skills with proven track record in using these skills to improve planning and other business processes.
  • Computerised MRP system experience would be beneficial.
  • Should have an analytical approach to problem resolution.
  • Must be flexible in approach, willing take on other tasks and be responsive to changing demands and situations.
  • Training will be given on products however a good engineering mechanical knowledge would be an advantage.
