This privately owned group of companies offers a diverse range of services to customers throughout the UK.

Founded by two successful entrepreneurs the business has grown rapidly by making complementary acquisitions and developing new services to meet market demands.

Operating in a buoyant technology space they have recently completed a successful round of external fundraising and now have in excess of £120m of capital to deploy on a major infrastructure project.


The Role - Health and Safety Advisor - Full and part time hours will be considered


As part of your role, you will be involved in site visits across the whole of the UK building positive relationships with all levels of the work force.

Your role will be critical to the business and making sure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.

You will ensure that data is correct through an audit process, then report on activity. You will liaise with different departments to gather information and assist in continuous improvement across the group.


This role requires a strong intelligent advisor with credibility and good communication skills, with the ability to interpret and put across sometimes complex information.

The role will be heavily field based within the North West so no over
- night stays are necessary.


Duties of the Health and Safety Advisor
You will be part of our Operations function which forms part of our wider central services, and your job will be to support the Operations Management team in establishing, and monitoring standards and processes

Providing training and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Health and Safety are compliant

Investigate and analyse work environments and implement procedures to ensure adherence to guidelines,

Audit field -based practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk.

Create policies and procedures where needed and ensure all existing policies are up to date according to legislation.

Conduct training and presentations


Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to across the company and are regularly reviewed.

Ensure the company meets its statutory obligations.

Regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment.


Experience Required for the Health and Safety Advisor
Experience in assessing risk associated with working at heights

Overall understanding of H&S Legislation

COSHH Certificate

At least 3 years recent and relevant experience in similar role

Auditing & Inspection skills and experience.

Proven experience in effective incident investigation and reporting.

You must be able to drive and travel to sites so a driving licence is essential.


Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 20-40 per week


Salary:
£30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
