Here at Peak we are currently recruiting for resilient and driven Teaching Assistant to join our team of highly qualified teachers, based in our school in Cannock.

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for both aspiring and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants.

What the role involves:


  • Mentoring, supporting and inspiring learners by supporting them with curriculumbased learning in the classroom, on home tuition and outreach and through outdoor activities.
  • Assisting with the preparation of learning material and contributing to the delivery of learning objectives with a strong focus on behavioural management.
  • Daily reports on learners' progress and barriers to learning.
  • Interaction with parents/care givers on a regular basis.

What do you need:


  • Previous experience working in similar challenging environments would be a distinct advantage, as would a background in SEN, youth work, education or outdoor adventurous activities.
  • Due to the nature of the role you must hold a full clean UK driving licence.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A cando attitude and willingness to get involved both classroom and outdoor activities such as rock climbing, water sports and mountain biking.
  • Be a good mentor/role model and be able to engage with learners at their level.
