The South London & Maudsley (SLaM) Clinical Informatics Service is being set up to provide informatics capability to support clinical decision making in direct care.
Our aim is to enable SLaM staff to use clinical data to inform their decision making at individual patient and service levels to improve the quality and equity of the care delivered.
Tools including interactive visualisation will feedback data to clinicians in ways that maximise their ability to quickly extract relevant insights and interact with the data.
The service is looking for an experienced Evaluation Lead, passionate about improving quality and tackling inequalities in mental health care and enthusiastic about working with stakeholders from SLaM's clinical workforce, service users and wider community.
The post-holder will have skills and experience in planning and delivering mixed methods research, working with clinical data and stakeholder engagement, ideally within mental health care.
The post holder will lead on planning and delivering an iterative evaluation strategy for the Clinical Informatics Service as a whole and individual pilot clinical use cases.
The post holder will:
Plan a mixed methods evaluation strategy using appropriate evaluation frameworks for public health and technological innovation in health.
Deliver evaluations combining quantitative and qualitative approaches, collecting, managing, and analysing data and feeding back results in written reports and oral presentations to a range of audiences.
Take an iterative approach to evaluation, working closely with the CIS team and clinician end-users to define requirements and gather feedback through a user-led design process.

About the Location
The job will be based at the IoPPN Main Building, part of the wider Denmark Hill campus shared by SLaM and King's College London.
Denmark Hill is very well connected and staff can reach Victoria or Blackfriars stations in 10 minutes by train, and East London is 25 minutes by overground.
