    Job Description

    The Re-Entry Advisor role at Herzing University involves guiding students through the re-entry application process. This requires building rapport with each student to understand their educational goals and matching their needs with the university's offerings.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Respond to interested re-entry students in a timely manner via multiple communication methods.
    • Conduct re-entry discussions with students to discuss goals, previous enrollment experience, and current state.
    • Review re-entry requirements with students and discuss different programs offered.
    • Coordinate with internal departments to determine student-specific information.
    • Share resources with students and connect them with other staff members as needed.
    • Perform consistent outreach to students interested in re-entry.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree or two years of equivalent work experience required (preferably in admissions, customer service or sales).
    • Minimum of two years in a higher education role working with student retention.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required.
    • Ability to problem solve and be resourceful.
    • Ability to work independently and seek help when needed.

    Work Environment:

    • Must be able to remain in a stationary position most of the time.
    • Must be able to occasionally move around the work location.
    • Constantly operates office equipment which may include computers, copiers, fax machines, audio/visuals.
    • Frequently uses voice and hearing to communicate with students, staff or colleagues face-to-face or over the telephone.
