Youth Engagement Coordinator (EMPIRE lead), Grade 12 (£44,814 - £46,857)

12 month Secondment / Fixed Term opportunity

We are looking for someone that can:

Lead a team of youth engagement practitioners who will devise and deliver a range of events, workshops, consultations and activities for children and young people so they contribute to service development, practice improvement, and policy change
Be responsible for the continued delivery of E.M.P.I.R.E, for children who are looked after, and Sunday Service for care experienced persons.
Work with us to map participation across the directorate and contribute to developing and embedding our corporate parenting strategy and participation strategy.
Lead and support the team to explore new models and ways of working with children and families in Early Help, Children in Need, Children requiring Protection and SEND
Advocate, talk, listen and report the views and feedback of children in care and care experienced persons
Attend decision making professional forums and meetings to ensure the view and opinions of young people are heard and influence the decisionmaking process
Work alongside internal, external teams and the community to build relationships with key professionals and young people to increase the profile of E.M.P.I.R.E
Build strong, meaningful relationships with the young people whilst ensuring there is clear professional boundaries in place.
Demonstrate a high level of personal accountability and to be committed to own practice development

Special Conditions

Able to work outside of normal office hours, including evenings and weekends (Required to work a minimum of 3 evenings per week and weekends when required by service users)
