Transport Manager, Essex, £40,000 - £45,000 + Benefits
Are you an experienced Transport Manager with a CPC? If so, we want to hear from you

We are recruiting for a growing family-owned business in Essex who is looking to recruit an established Transport professional to head up their team which covers driver management, transport planning and fleet/ compliance admin.

You will work Monday - Friday, typically starting around 6:30/7am.

What you'll be doing

Day to day management and leadership of a small Transport & Customer Service function, consisting of Drivers, Planners & Administrators
Ensure the team adheres to health & safety and compliance standards at all times
Management of the company O License including vehicle legislation, driver legislation (tacho management, defect reporting etc)
Drive functional KPI's and report to senior leadership team
Overseeing business route planning and updating TMS

What are we looking for?

Ideally you'll be an experienced Transport Manager, with a proven record operating in a busy transport environment
As you will manage the company O License it is essential for this role that you have a CPC
Experience using TMS in previous roles would be advantageous
A background or understanding of operating in an SME or familyowned business would be beneficial but is not essential
