Internship Opportunity: Private and Explainable Ml - Cambridge, United Kingdom - Microsoft
Description
As part of our research in Privacy Preserving Machine Learning Initiative, we are exploring novel architectures for improving privacy and confidentiality in machine learning models.
We are looking for research interns to help us advance state of the art of the research in
developing novel and explainable models to leverage information from multiple modalities, including images, text, and knowledge graphs, as well as improving interpretability and privacy of natural language processing models.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Must be accepted or currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in conducting research, writing peerreviewed publications and software development.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Natural Language Processing, Multimodal ML, Explainable ML, and/or privacy for ML.
- Experience in conducting research and publications at toptier peerreviewed conferences or journals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be able to work in a crossfunctional and multidisciplinary setting across research and product.
