We are currently on the lookout for flamboyant mixologist's and cocktail bartenders with a flair for extending fantastic friendly service for The Mayan, a lively modern Mexican Restaurant & Cocktail bar in the Mailbox. If you have lots of passion, pride and personality to unleash, we want to hear from you.

We are a fast-growing company looking for people to join our team.

Experience is preferred and would be a plus, but full training will be given.

Opening Hours: Monday - Thursday 5pm – 11pm / Friday - Saturday 12pm – 1am / Sunday – 12pm – 11pm

Pay: NMW - £12.21ph + Service Charge + Cash Tips

Average FT hours 35+

Average PT hours: 20+

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware and utensils.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing recommendations based on their preferences.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, utilising basic math skills for processing payments.
• Monitor customer behaviour and intervene when necessary to maintain a safe environment.

Skills

• Strong hospitality skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is advantageous.
• Proficient in basic math for handling cash transactions effectively.
• Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently.
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
