Description
The Department of Economics at Manchester wishes to appoint one Lecturer (Teaching & Scholarship) from September 2023. This is a permanent position.


In addition to the teaching responsibilities the colleague will be expected to contribute to the program management and general teaching administration in the Economics department.


In addition to course specific engagement the colleague will also contribute to developing economic resources relating to generic study and employability skills and will be involved in other administrative and pastoral duties.

Career progression on the Teaching & Scholarship is attainable through all the usual levels.

Colleagues on the Scholarship track are expected to actively engage with and contribute to the pedagogy of teaching economics in HE.

Career progression will be based on excellence in teaching, teaching innovation, service and leadership as well knowledge transfer and external engagement.

An up-to-date CV, including (i.e. upload as one document)
- a 1 page summary of recent teaching evaluations.

  • Provide a reflection on how your teaching has developed and how you see your pedagogy developing in the near future. (500 words maximum)
