Job description:

A Senior Interaction Designer is an experienced designer who leads with mínimal support and can influence and mentor others.

You will:

Work with service managers to develop design concepts
Have lead responsibility across a large service
Help set direction and embed good practice within teams
Make important decisions based on research and understand how this research impacts others
Understand user needs and create interactions across departmental and organisational boundaries
Lead work within a multidisciplinary team to turn research into usercentred services
Work with user researchers, business analysts and developers to turn concepts into usercentred services
Create and rapidly iterate low and highfidelity prototypes to test and communicate ideas
Support teams and lead the organization to take a design thinking approach
Highlight opportunities to establish benchmarks and to identify potential areas of improvement
Take a leading role in growing the design community within DfE and across government
Collaborate with designers across government to identify and design scalable, crossgovernment design patterns and standards
Train and mentor other designers
