Description
Kinship Care is an incredibly complex area which is reflected across Scotland.

In East Ayrshire we are trying to elevate our kinship practice, support and experience by investing in some additional support for the service.

This will be targeted in specific ways with different roles having a very clear improvement and support function.

This post will be temporary but will provide an excellent development opportunity for our workforce to experience a different type of specialist targeted work in their role.

This role will support the Kinship Care Improvement Team with the main focus on:

  • Establishing and maintaining systems and processes to support the review of existing Kinship Care placements;
  • Support the review of existing Kinship Carer arrangements, including ensuring arrangements are in place for annual reviews to be scheduled;
  • Support the Kinship Care Improvement Team establish and maintain robust quality assurance processes;
  • Establish regular reporting on activity carried out to support the Kinship Review process.

This is a full time temporary post based within the Kinship Care Improvement Team.

Hours of work will be 17.5 per week.

The workstyle for this post is 'Flexible' -
50-79% of time is office based. Able to work at different/ multiple work locations. Occasionally works at home, or another location 1-2 days per week, or directly home to external appointments.

The admin base for this post is the Johnnie Walker Bond, Kilmarnock.


Annual Salary - £11,457 - £12,057
