About the role
Libertus Services provide day care placements for older adults in the Gracemount area of Edinburgh.

We provide activity groups, meals and community activities to enhance the lives of older people, and maximise their potential to be as independent as possible.

Libertus Services require a Head Cook to provide lunches for up to 50 people per day.

Responsibilities

Maintain kitchen cleanliness to highest standards
To assist in the preparation and serving of meals
Preparation of all menus.
Ordering and checking of supplies.
Preparation of a two course lunch for up to 50 persons a day
Budget and Stock control
Perform all tasks within CookSafe house rules in accordance with Food Standards Scotland and Environmental Health regulations

What we need from you

Commitment, enthusiasm and a positive attitude
Work well as part of a team, and as a lone worker
Good understanding of both written and spoken English
At least 2 years Kitchen experience (preferred)
SVQ in Professional Cookery at SCQF level 5

Benefits

Salary £24,403 pro rata
Hourly rate £12.68 per hour
30 hours per week
Shift times 9am to 3pm Monday to Friday

This post is classed as having a degree of contact with vulnerable adults, therefore a PVG check will be sought through Disclosure Scotland as part of Libertus Services employment checks. A personal Interview will also be required as part of the employment process.
