    Job Overview

    Education Mental Health Practitioners work in schools and healthcare settings to provide mental health support for children and young people.

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for 5 Qualified Education Mental Health Practitioners in the new Mental Health Support Teams in schools service across Warrington.

    Main Duties of the Job

    Successful candidates will work as part of the Mental Health Support Team, delivering evidence-based early interventions for children and young people in educational and healthcare settings.

    Candidates must have completed the HEE commissioned 'Education Mental Health Practitioner' course or the 'Children's Wellbeing Practitioner' course. Those currently undertaking EMHP training will also be considered.

    Travel across localities may be required.

    Person Specification

    • Completed the HEE commissioned 'Education Mental Health Practitioner' (EMHP) or Children and Young People's Wellbeing Practitioner (CYWP) course
    • Mental health assessments and therapeutic interventions with children and young people
    • Knowledge of research design and methodology to at least degree level
