Job Description:


The role of the Trading Associate is to support the Trading Partners to strategically drive the business through effective planning and trading.


You will be working collaboratively with commercial B & M teams and wholesale account managers to achieve commercially successful outcomes for our Wholesale Partners whilst driving profitability for ASOS.


Role Specific Accountabilities

  • Working closely with your Trading Partner to achieve the partner despatch budget
  • Accurately maintain the wholesale partnerships order book, partner size curves and partner order tracker
  • Create and manage the partner allocation plan
  • Manage partner item set up /PO process.
  • Manage the order amendment process with the Account Management Team ensuring amendments are maintained accurately and in a timely manner
  • Prepare weekly & periodic sales & despatch analysis to identify risks & opportunities to partner seasonal budgets
  • Develop and build strong relationships with Partners, through weekly trade calls and accurate data sharing
  • Proactively identify intake & allocations issues and work closely with trading partner to come up with effective solutions.
  • Support the implementation of new processes and seasonal strategies within the new wholesale area.
  • Deputising for Trading Partner where appropriate
  • Training & Developming MA's where required.

Qualifications:


If you possess the following, we would like to hear from:

  • 2+ years of experience of working at Merchandising Assistant or Assistant Merchandiser level
  • Experience planning weekly sales or despatch, stock and intake management
  • Proven ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with commercial B&M teams, and partners at all levels.
  • A selfstarter, who seeks continuous feedback and opportunities to take on greater responsibility
  • Ability to embrace change and remaining flexible based on trade performance.
  • Strong skills within MS Excel, and the ability to pick up new business systems quickly
  • A passion and interest in Fashion Retail, with strong global market and product knowledge
The following would be an asset but not required:

  • Previous Wholesale Experience at AM/MA Level at a fashion retailer
  • International Experience
