Bookkeeper - Oldmeldrum, United Kingdom - Activus Recruitment

This is a full-time, permanent role.Salary around £25,000
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and complete financial records, including daily cash receipts, payments, and general ledger transactions
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a monthly basis
- Conduct regular audits of financial transactions and records to identify any discrepancies and errors
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, including tax and accounting standards
- Monitor accounts receivable and payable, as well as all other entries in the general ledger
- Provide support for tax preparation and audits
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Preferred requirements:
- 3+ years of work experience in bookkeeping, accounting or related field preferably within an Accountants office
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations
- Proficiency in accounting software (such as Sage,QuickBooks, Xero), MS Excel, and other financial reporting tools
- Excellent communication, organizational and problemsolving skills
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
