We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a Relief Officer to work on one of our large client sites in Southampton, in one of the UK's most advanced working environments, with over £36 million invested in their facilities and infrastructure over the past eight years.

As a Relief Officer at this site, the purpose of your job role is to ensure the protection, safeguarding and security of assets, personnel, and visitors entering the site.

This is done by creating a safe environment and ensuring all assets are protected by reducing risks via diligent patrols, strict access control, monitoring, and equipment control whilst maintaining the company's reputation with professionalism and legal compliance.

As a dedicated relief security officer, you will be requested to cover both night, day, weekend and Bank Holidays shifts covering Annual leave, sickness, natural gaps in the rota and related events therefore we will be looking for a flexible person who is keen to cover these shifts.

You will need to be a flexible person as you will be required to work various shift start and finish times between 6.00am and 11.30pm.

It would be beneficial if you had your own transport in order to start and finish at these times.

Main Responsibilities:

Monitor access to the site ensuring that only authorised staff and visitors are permitted access
Meet and greet all staff and visitors to the site in a professional and friendly manner
Carry out internal and external patrols ensuring all identified Health and Safety issues are escalated to the client
Carry out regular CCTV checks and escalate where any failures are found
Ensure that only authorised contractors are permitted access to the premises

Essential Skills

SIA Licence
Excellent customer engagement skills with excellent verbal and communication skills
Demonstrate the ability to think and act quickly in emergencies or under pressure
