We are currently recruiting for a Technical Author vacancy.
This is an excellent opportunity to join us at a skilled level in a division that drives the business forwards through innovation.
As a Technical Author at STERIS you will develop, implement and maintain the technical documentation support requirements for our existing machines.
Working closely with the design, technical, production and regulatory teams to ensure the correct level and detail of supporting documents is maintained.
Duties:
- Generate and maintain the documentation requirements for existing and future systems and technologies including but not limited to specifications, build instructions, operating procedures and service packs.
- Lead technical documentation issue reviews and track change requirements
- Ensure scheduling plans for documentation and supporting activities are maintained and achieved
- Engage with production and quality departments to achieve the desired outcome
- Support in the development of Design History File content
- Adhere to and improve processes for document control, including translations
- Support activities as required by the R&D engineering team

Education Degree:
Required Experience:
- Sound knowledge of electromechanical systems and technologies
- Ability to understand and read technical drawings
- Proven experience within a technical author or manufacturing engineering position
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to grasp the big picture and provide effective solutions for a specific audience
- Computer competence, with a minimum of strong MS Word skills
- Highlevel of written and verbal skills
- Ability to follow up, verify and close out actions
- Affinity with technical systems
