Description
MKS design and manufacture assemblies that are used in a range of industrial equipment. The Crewe facility is responsible for the design, development and NPI of Residual Gas Analysis products.

These products are an essential sub-system in the manufacture of silicon chips for the electronic industry as well as in renewable technologies such as photo-voltaic panels.


The successful applicant for this Production Coordinator role will be responsible for performing the physical and administrative tasks involved in the planning and execution of production targets.


Your tasks:

  • Liaise on a daily basis with the production supervisor, planning, procurement and warehouse colleagues to ensure production targets are met
  • Regularly check production status and report back to CSR, Ops Manager.
  • Raise work orders.
  • Working closely with the production supervisor, maintain open order book (backlog), provide recommit dates and help set/maintain routines to hit the target shipment volumes.
  • Establish a good rapport with the production team and build effective relationships to ensure seamless communication.
  • Be prepared to contribute to their own learning and development within the role.

Your profile:

  • Experience in production environments, planning, MS software. Able to work with quickly and efficiently with business system software e.g. Priority.
  • As a skilled specialist, complete tasks in creative and effective way.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement of processes and systems. Practical knowledge of Lean principles, Lean management and methodologies would be an advantage.
  • Work on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative.
  • Understand implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.
  • Completion of high school, vocational training or equivalent is preferred.
  • Determine methods and procedures on new assignments. May provide guidance to other nonexempt personnel.
