This includes:
Joining a dynamic team to respond to client's emerging challenges regarding net zero and what it means for them, providing technical assistance with the transition and embedding operational and embodied carbon and climate change issues within decision making;Lead on the technical aspects of net zero projects, with specific focus on carbon.
- This includes embodied and wholelife carbon calculations, as they relate to buildings;Provide advice to design and construction teams about improvement opportunities in respect of carbon emissions for projects this includes but is not limited to advice on architectural, structural and MEP items;Author informative reports to clients regarding carbon calculations, lead technical meetings, explaining findings to clients and suggest strategies going forward;Mentor others in the team from a technical perspective, act as a technical reviewer and approver on reports;Understand net zero carbon policies and best practice technical delivery. Continuously develop own understanding of technical aspects of carbon in buildings and advise clients on the latest in the field and expected future developments;Support business development related activities, feed technical and financial information into proposals done by others and complete standalone proposals, where appropriate;Collaborate with other teams within Mott MacDonald to deliver a "one team ethos" and approach to delivering and embedding operational and embodied carbon management and climate resilience within future services;Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget in line with Mott MacDonald's commercial and financial requirements, while ensuring client expectations are met;Act as technical expert for carbon in buildings in the unit and act as part of a community of carbon experts within Mott MacDonald.Support the divisional sustainability and climate change team leader and carbon subteam lead with resourcing, feed into management decisions where appropriate and provide feedback to colleagues on technical performance where appropriate.
- There will be a mix of longterm and shortterm projects nationally and internationally, and it can be expected to support the wider Mott MacDonald businesses to grow and develop our sustainable cities and decarbonisation offerings, working closely with the global Mott MacDonald carbon management and sustainability community.
