Description
High-growth engineering group is looking for a commercially focused Project Analyst to join their growing team in Basingstoke.

Providing Finance support to Project Managers a monthly basis to consolidate Actuals, Forecasts and EAC flowing into month-end reports.

Ideally you will have a flexible approach to workload with great attention to detail, and flexibility to deliver a diversityof requirements within a working day.


PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Calculate and report Deferred Revenue calculations vs Cost Incurred
  • Reconcile Revenue / Deferred Revenue / Cost Accruals / margins to profitability forecasts
  • Produce profitability schedules for projects
  • Produce monthly Financial reports and Executive Summaries
  • Working with the PMs to review and develop a regular monthly Financial process for reporting Project Financials
  • Lead monthly Variance Analysis vs Budget and Forecast for projects
  • Lead Forecast and Budgeting process execution
  • Continuous improvement of Reporting methods
  • Ad hoc project analysis

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proactive, positive cando attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience of longterm project revenue recognition policies and Earned Value
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently
  • Strong reporting ability
  • Reconciliation of multiple sources of information
  • Part Qualified Accountant
  • Advanced MS Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
