**SEN Teaching Assistant


Location:
Tamworth


Contract:
Full time starting January (temporary to permanent contract)

**The opportunity: Teaching personnel are working closely with a specialist school in Tamworth who are looking for a number of SEN teaching assistants who are experienced working with SEN and young people. This school supports students aged 11 to 19 years old who all havean education health and care plan and exhibit learning difficulties and / or delay in their learning. Students have a broad range of needs including learning difficulties and disabilities, physical disabilities, and autism. The flexible curriculum providedhas a heavy focus on creativity and allows students to gain a variety of experiences which form pivotal points of their education.


The school itself has facilities including a sports hall, kitchen, engineering classes, art workshop a school shop and much more that all students have access to daily.

If successful, this role could also include working 1:1 or in small groups with therapeuticinterventions. The positions we have available are starting as soon as possible.

**Who are we looking for: You don't need specific school experience however you will need the below in order to be considered:

  • Must have experience working with young people.
  • Must have experience working with SEN (this could be in schools or personal experience, care sector, family / friends, or in the community)
  • Have a passion for education.
  • Hold a current and clear DBS or willing to do a new one.
  • Open to CPD
  • Positive 'can do' attitude
  • Adaptable and versatile
  • Eager to help vulnerable and young people to lice happy fulfilling lives.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
