Responsibilities:


  • Process sales invoices and allocate cash receipts, ensuring timely and accurate recording
  • Match and process purchase invoices, making sure they are coded correctly and authorised in accordance with company procedures
  • Reconcile bank accounts on a regular basis, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and any discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner
  • Assist with adhoc reconciliations, ensuring that all transactions are correctly recorded and discrepancies are resolved promptly
  • Assist with payment runs, ensuring that suppliers are paid on time and in accordance with payment terms
  • Provide support to the credit control function, including chasing overdue payments and assisting with the management of the debtor ledger
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and any discrepancies are resolved promptly
  • Assist with the preparation of management accounts and other financial reports as required
  • Provide support to the wider finance team as required, including adhoc tasks and projects
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the ongoing improvement of processes and procedures.

Requirements:


  • Some relevant experience in accounting, ideally in sales ledger, purchase ledger, or bank reconciliation
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other basic computer skills
  • A desire to learn and develop within the role and grow within the company
  • A positive and proactive attitude towards work.
