We're currently recruiting for a Capital Management Actuary to join our Capital Management Team to join Phoenix Group.

**The role
As a Capital Management Actuary you will play a key role within our Commercial Balance Sheet Management team, providing technical expertise and thought leadership as we look to optimise our capital and liquidity in support of the Group's strategic objectives,


Reporting to the Commercial Head Balance Sheet Management, this role will support in the delivery of key management actions, help drive capital and liquidity planning, ensure delivery of cash to the Group in support of financial targets and will provide actuarial support to the Open Division, advising on matters such as affordability of propositions and the evaluation of these in line with the principles of our Financial Framework, focussing on the return on capital deployed.

The role will also be involved in the development and execution of projects that enable the ongoing optimisation of the balance sheet.


What are we looking for?
A qualified actuary with a proven track record and relevant industry experience with a strong technical ability.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills,

Ability to work effectively within a team environment, frequently collaborating on multi-team activities,


Good sense of commerciality, with a good understanding of the drivers of value, being able to use this to support the prioritisation of management actions.
