As a Graduate Land Referencer you will have the opportunity to work with high-profile clients supporting the collation of evidence, documentation and information for acquiring authorities to obtain land for the purposes of large development or infrastructure projects.
You will be involved in some of the UK's most complex, iconic, and challenging infrastructure projects across various sectors including transport (aviation, rail, highways), utilities, housing, redevelopment, retail, environmental protection, commercial, private and public sectors.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
As a graduate within the land referencing team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of technical projects, with a wealth of experience from within the team to support you and develop your knowledge and skills.
- Supporting the wider team in the identification of landowners, occupiers and other parties that hold a legal interest in land
- Working with our GIS team to interpret spatial data and produce Land Ownership and Access Plans
- Assisting with onsite land referencing and engaging with affected landowners
- Assisting in the preparation of statutory documentation and support multidisciplinary teams in managing land & stakeholder risk for infrastructure projects
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in an area broadly related to land (e.g., Geography, Geospatial science, Estate or Property Management, Planning, Law).
- Good Microsoft Office skills essential such as Word, Excel & PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively to internal and external clients, both verbally & in writing with the confidence to engage with a variety of people (clients, colleagues, stakeholders and subcontractors alike) and the aptitude to rationally explain, explore and discuss technical issues and capture feedback
A full UK driving licence
and the willingness to travel to site and project
