They are offering a competitive salary
c. £51,000 and package including an attractive pension scheme, hybrid working policy (2 days in office), flexible working pattern.

**The role: - Provide vital support to the senior leadership team working closely with the Head of Finance

Direct responsibility and leadership for the financial and technical accounting team (including treasury, tax, payroll and AR/AP)
Take ownership of the production of group statutory annual accounts on a timely basis.
Responsibility for ensuring all processes and controls are adhered to, in accordance with standing orders and financial regulations.
Contribute to joint meetings and support the delivery of an effective service including advice, support, challenge and guidance

**The person: - You will be a fully qualified accountant

You will have demonstrable experience operating within Local Authority finance roles
Advanced IT skills comprising Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint
Be fully conversant with financial systems
