Lyndon House is a Salvation Army Lifehouse located in Ipswich. The centre provides accommodation and support to individuals experiencing homelessness aged 18 and above.


Key Responsibilities:

As an Assistant Support Worker, you will be responsible for assisting and delivering a high quality programme of support and meaningful activities.

You will need good communication skills and an enthusiasm for working with vulnerable adults who have experienced homelessness.


You will work with a team to ensure the smooth running of the centre, supporting clients in their move into independent accommodation, assisting with reception duties, administration, support, activities, and life skills training.


  • Motivation towards supporting vulnerable clients to achieve focussed and positive life outcomes
  • Good customer service and time management skills with ability to prioritise workload
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • A positive attitude and motivation towards supporting vulnerable clients
  • Good team working skills
  • Proficient in a range of IT packages including Microsoft
