Highly successful Professional Services company require experienced Credit Controller to undertake an exciting new challenge based at fantastic offices in central Guildford.

About the role

Reporting to the Financial Controller the Credit Controller will be responsible for the financial management of client accounts and will ensure outstanding customer invoices are collected in a timely and efficient manner


Key duties include:

  • Ensure outstanding client invoices are collected within agreed payment terms.
  • Regular liaison with Solicitors to ensure disputed payments or queries are resolved in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintaining accurate client accounting records to allow the Financial Controller to review up to date information regarding the outstanding debt position.
  • Reviewing client ledgers on a weekly basis to ensure that money on account for invoices, disbursements and cost recoveries are transferred to the office account in a timely manner.
  • Sending out copy invoices, payment requests and client statements
  • Reconciliation of client accounts
  • Liaise with solicitors and Financial Controller to discuss actions to be taken on overdue payments and potential bad debts.
  • Regular and adhoc credit status reporting for senior management
  • Various administrative tasks that assist the department and the business when needed.
About you

  • Applicants will be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ideally you will have previous Credit Control experience with a diplomatic approach to customer debt collection.
