We have an exciting and rare opportunity for an experienced and confident Ward Clerk to join our Chemotherapy Day Service.


Our Day Units (at Dewsbury and Pontefract hospitals) are very busy, you will be making a difference to our cancer patients by ensuring that their appointments are scheduled correctly, that everything is in order before they arrive for their systemic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) treatment, and that they have all the information they need about their future appointments before they leave.


The vacancy is at our Dewsbury Chemotherapy Day Unit, but you must be prepared to work at both sites as required.

The Day Units are open from 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. This is a full time post - 37.5hrs per week.


The ability to team-work is crucial; each Chemotherapy Day Unit has two Ward Clerks so you will be working together each day to ensure that all tasks are completed timely and accurately.

When your colleague is on leave you will be working autonomously so the ability to cope when under pressure is very important.
