Hours for TA post: 26.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Hours of MDA post: 6.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Working Hours for TA: 8:30 to 12noon - 1:45pm to 3:30pm

The Headteacher and Governors of our inclusive and successful school would like to appoint an efficient and self-motivated Teaching Assistant who is able to work flexibly between classes.

We are looking for dedicated, experienced practitioners to join our happy and supportive team at Etchells Primary School.
- able to support children within the classroom, in small groups and on a 1:1 basis, as directed by the class teacher;
- confident in establishing positive relationships with both children and adults;
- hardworking and committed to supporting children's learning;
- a team player - able to work together and plan with teachers and other staff members, promoting our school ethos, values and vision
- professional, reliable and have excellent interpersonal skills;
- academically able and competent in Maths and English;
- able to deliver intervention sessions which could include phonics, speech and language, motor skills (training will be given where necessary);
- willing to work with another member of staff to deliver PPA cover for one afternoon a week;
- able to provide ad hoc class cover.

There is an option to combine this role with a Midday Assistant position.

The role involves helping the children in the dining room and engaging with them to develop their play and co-operation skills during the lunchtime period


We are looking for:

• A team player who can work in partnership with others
• Someone to encourage pupils to play together positively
• The ability to manage behaviour in a positive manner
• A patient, friendly but firm approach to pupils
• A person who will foster good relationships between pupils of all ages
• A willingness to administer basic first aid

Hours: 12pm - 1.15pm, Monday to Friday (6.25 hours a week)
