Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Moredun Ward for an Activity Support Worker.

The post holder will deliver and facilitate meaningful activity for inpatients within the adult mental health wards at Murray Royal Hospital on an individual or group basis, within the hospital setting and in the community.

The post holder will work to support high quality care that recognises the importance of everyday meaningful interaction or engagement has on individual health and wellbeing.

The Activity Support Worker will actively work to enhance person-centred care within the clinical areas, supporting ongoing developing practice within NHS Tayside in line with national guidance and local policy, e.g., Improving Observation Practice.

The post holder will receive clinical supervision from an AHP in addition to managerial supervision from line manager and team group supervision.

Hours of work are: 37.5hrs per week working shifts covering the 7 day period.
