This is an exciting opportunity to work in a challenging environment delivering financial assistance packages and adaptations to meet the needs of vulnerable people, in both private and Council homes across the city.


We are looking for a dynamic person who is highly motivated, conscientious, efficient and adaptable to meet the demands of the service.

You must have excellent organisational skills to be able to case manage your workload and have a positive attitude.


You must be able to provide professional technical and project management expertise for the purpose of delivering Corporate and Private Sector Strategy objectives within the legal framework, including Disabled Facilities Grants (DFG), Home Appreciation loans (HALs), HomeCheque Loans along with aids and adaptations citywide.


You will undertake surveying of properties and technical work including the management of contractors in relation to the repair, maintenance, renovation, and adaptations in both the private and public sectors.


You must be able to delegate, monitor, audit, and work in partnership with other technical staff and give clear instructions to others to manage service delivery.

This will include the management of contractors and contract documentation.


You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to be able to deal with complex cases and work in partnership with other Council services including Occupational Therapy, Social Services, Planning and Building Control Departments along with external agencies.
