We are a family run scrap metal recycling business based in Colchester, Essex seeking a Yard Operative.

You will develop a solid foundation of knowledge and expertise of what it takes to be at the forefront of recycling and sustainability.

The role / duties / responsibilities:

• Unloading, loading, processing and transporting various materials on site
• Sorting scrap metal into its different grades
• Processing the metal using a range of different machines
• Regular and repetitive light lifting so a good standard of physical fitness is required.

You:

• Experience of working with metals is NOT necessary
• Hard working with a great work ethic and a cando attitude
• You must be willing to learn the operation of various items of plant on site
• Assisting management as required
• Experience in scrap metal / waste recycling is highly desirable. Salary dependent on experience
• Fulltime 6 day position and Saturdays 8:00 14:00)
