We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Data Coordinator to join our friendly performance team within the Patient Services Centre based at the Royal South Hants Hospital (RSH).

The role requires a minimum of two days a week at RSH, but flexibility to work from home or SGH is available.

This demanding role offers the opportunity to develop a range of administrative tasks, communication skills, attention for detail, outstanding customer service skills, a positive, patient-centred flexible approach and multi-tasking skills.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual who has experience providing comprehensive administration services and working with computerised systems on a daily basis.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Data Coordinator you will work closely with our Performance Team Leader and Access Manager to

  • Provide a comprehensive pathway management for Trust wide HICSS data administration, retrospective booking of nonface to face contacts for outpatients.
  • Assist in validation pathways in line with Trust targets and access policies of 18week elective pathways.
  • To understand the causes of poor data quality and correctly interpret national and local guidance when using the functions of the Patient Administration System
  • To work in a centralised Patient Services Centre and provide cover for other staff cross site (RSH/SGH) to ensure a consistent and effective administration service is always maintained.
  • To provide an excellent customer service to patients, relatives/carers and to external agencies.
  • To communicate effectively and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • To train and support PSC administrators to ensure accurate data entry in line with the Trust Access Policy to ensure income generation is achieved to strict deadlines.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
You will be a well organised individual with good communication skills, someone who is committed to learn and develop. You will need to demonstrate the ability to work to tight deadlines.


You will also:

  • Work to agreed objectives and monitor the department's adherence to the 18week targets, best practice tariffs, and Commissioning for Quality and Innovation (CQUINs)
  • Ensure that coordinated and streamlined administrative processes revolve around the patient and their individual needs
  • Familiarity with hospital systems and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and people management skills
  • The ability to work well under pressure and in a team
  • A desire to provide a firstclass service for patients and clinical teams.
  • You should be able to work flexibly in supporting the functions of the unit and have a genuine desire to contribute to providing a quality service for patients.

We're also looking for you to demonstrate:

  • High standards of accuracy with attention to detail
  • Use of IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • The ability to work independently, seeking guidance where necessary
