Role description:

Our Planning team is growing, and we are looking for a Town Planner to support our growing team with a range of planning duties with a focus on policy, strategy, infrastructure consents and regeneration planning.

As part of our Environmental team, you'll help improve quality of life.

With your specialism in environmental management, or your technical or sustainability expertise, your work could involve protected species, pollution, surface water and materials management, air quality or noise.

And in some of the world's busiest and most beautiful locations.

The rate at which we're seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent. Role accountabilities:

Our Team supports our clients with some of the UK's most complex and diverse projects including Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, energy and infrastructure developments, residential and commercial schemes, socio economic, health and community planning as well as research into the planning process.

Our clients include Highways England, Transport for London, Transport for Wales, HS2, National Grid, Homes England, the Environment Agency, Welsh Government, and the Canals & Rivers Trust together with a wide range of private developers, social landlords and local authorities.

As part of your role as Town Planner you will:

You will also have the opportunity to develop your potential in supporting client relationships and workwinning.

Qualifications & Experience:

Understanding of socio economic and health and equalities impact assessment for development and infrastructure projects.
Experience of providing planning support on masterplans and impact assessment and working in matrix and dispersed teams
A relevant degree and Masters in an accredited planning course and working towards chartership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (MRTPI).
Understanding of the methods for working with internal and external stakeholders and appreciation of engaging with hard to reach groups and virtual public engagement.

You'll get to work on a range of different projects across the buildings sector, but also across specialist sectors such automotive, aviation and manufacturing.

This role can be based from our Birmingham, Leeds, London or Manchester office and there will be the opportunity to work from home.
