Our Client is a market leading communications and adverting agency, headquartered in Belfast.
Due to continued success, they wish to recruit a permanent, stand-alone, HR Specialist, a solid HR generalist who can provide a professional, efficient, and confidential HR function for this thriving business.
Reporting to the Senior Management Team, the successful HR Specialist will enjoy the variety of this busy HR role, acting as the point of contact for employee queries and issues as well as supporting recruitment, induction, performance management and training processes.
The HR Specialist should have a minimum of 3 years recent, relevant HR generalist/advisory level experience within a busy, commercial organisation.
The Role
- Report to the Senior Management Team
- Facilitate end to end recruitment
- Support inductions and coordinate probationary review processes
- Establish, develop and maintain excellent relationships with Managers
- Act as a point of contact for employee relations processes
- Oversee HR monitoring and reporting, including sickness absence, holidays etc
- Support disciplinary, performance management, grievance and dismissal processes, including notetaking
- Assist with performance management/appraisal processes including KPI reviews
- Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs
- Contribute to the development, implementation and review of HR processes, policies and procedures
- Contribute to drafting HR policies and updating the staff handbook
- Advise line managers and other employees on employment legislation
- Encourage wellbeing programs
- Drive and develop employee engagement initiatives
- Pension and benefits review
- Manage staff records
The Person
- Minimum of 3 years recent, relevant HR generalist/advisory level experience in a commercial organisation
- Proven ability to use HR knowledge and experience to provide solutions to challenges
- Experience of the full recruitment process
- Proven experience of supporting employee relations, performance management, reviews and appraisals
- Working knowledge of employee legislation and practice across the UK
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail with excellent problem solving skills
- Able to multitask and remain calm under pressure
