About the role:
Reporting toour Lead Scientist - Natural Product Chemistry, Dr. Jasper Newman, werelooking for a Research Associate to join our team. The role will utilisecore organic chemistry techniques developing plant extraction and purificationmethods scalable for supercritical CO2.
Research will also focus onadapting functionality in plant derived molecules and drug delivery devicessupported by analytical methods including GC-MS and LC-MS.
Its a great time to be joining usas we prepare for lots of new and exciting projects in the pipeline.
The sort of things you will be doing:
Youll be working in a small,high-velocity team of scientists to:
- Conduct individual and collaborativeresearch projects. This includes developing objectives, setting up andmonitoring experiments, maintaining up-to-date research notes, and entry andanalysis of the resulting data.
- Devise and execute experiments toachieve the goals of our research
- Present results of your research andcontribute to the publishing of results in highquality peerreviewed academicliterature.
- Participate in a mentored learningprogramme to further develop expertise and knowhow
This role will be a great fit if:
Havingexperience in managing data sets through programming, processing analyticalinformation into robust reports would be a big advantage, but not essential.
- Yourecomfortable working effectively in a small team
- You candemonstrate an innovation mindset to drive science and technology development
- You liketo take ownership, work at pace, and get things done.
- Youre comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite, QMS and LIMS.
