The Quality Manager will lead Sepura's Quality Team and providing support and direction across the business for all aspects of product and process quality and continuous improvement.

The role will also have responsibility for the quality management systems that support the business and maintain compliance to quality standards.

Your Role


As a Quality Manager, you will lead a team who work with teams across Sepura and external partners in managing and improving quality as well as ensuring compliance with external standards.


The Sepura Quality Manager will be able to communicate and collaborate with all departments and at all levels within the business.

You will be experienced in best practices and dedicated to promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

As the Quality Manager you will be able to interpret data gathered from both manufacturing partners and internally within Sepura and confident in identifying and articulating how relevant changes can impact and improve the delivery to customers.


Your Day to Day
Our customer base includes many different industries and markets around the world.

Our complete TETRA and LTE solutions have been developed specifically for users in multiple sectors to face their critical communications challenges.

There is no such thing as a typical day here at Sepura. You will be supported by your manager and team, as well as collaborating with other departments across the business.

As art of managing quality across the business you will be responsible managing the quality team to deliver on the business objectives for quality, this includes:


  • Management of the quality management system at Sepura, ensuring our ongoing compliance to ISO9001 standards.
  • Liaison and collaboration with all areas of the business to identify quality targets and support product development and continuous improvements.
  • Engagement and liaison with external suppliers and accreditors to assure quality of products and compliance.
  • Handling and management of quality issues, overseeing internal and external liaison to implement timely root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action and reporting.
  • Coordination of quality and continuous improvements through the quality management framework and reporting of data throughout the business and to senior management.
  • As team leader, guide and develop team members and manage the team performance, forward load and skills development to meet the demands of the quality roadmap.
  • Advancing changes within Sepura for quality management through adopting industry best practices and managing changes internally.

This job is expected to involve regular travel as part of supplier management and auditing and the successful applicant will have a full, clean driving licence and their own car.

Travel expenses will be paid.

What you need to succeed


Qualifications

  • Minimum HND in Electronic / mechanical engineering or 5 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Certification/accreditation in a recognised quality standard (e.g. IRCA Certified Auditor)

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Proven knowledge of implementing quality standards with latest ISO9001 standard and maintaining quality management systems.
  • Experience in managing quality in an engineeringbased and/or production focused role and leading changes within an organisation to implement improvements.
  • Expertise in using six sigma methodology and tools within a product development environment.
  • Strong communication skills and able to communicate with technicians, development engineers and managers both inside and outside the organisation.
  • Capability for leading process development using databased decision making to lead appropriate and effective changes in quality.
  • Experience in managing quality of suppliers across a global supply chain.
  • Lead auditor for conducting audits within an organisation and when working with suppliers.

Desirable Experience and Skills

  • Experience in engineering development in one or more areas including electromechanical manufacturing processes & controls, software, services.
  • Interaction and communication with customers in conjunction with support and commercial teams to be able to manage and drive delivery of product quality.
  • Ability to recognise and understand complex interactions between processes within the business to be able to facilitate change.
  • Capable in communicating through a variety of formats with an appreciation of target audience.
  • Team leading experience with good interpersonal relationship building and coaching skills for performance management.
  • Confidence and experience to travel unaccompanied to varied geographical regions and cultures.
  • Develops good working relationships with external 3rd party companies.
