Restful Homes Group - Gainsborough Hall Care Home is currently on the lookout for Activities Co-Ordinator at our beautiful home based in Leamington Spa.


Our Care Home provides 74 spacious bedroom suites providing the highest quality of care to older residents of Leamington Spa and the surrounding areas who require Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Specialist Dementia care with associated behaviours that challenge.

We also cater for older people with enduring Mental Health needs.


To provide a wide range of activities to engage and stimulate the physical, cognitive and social wellbeing of the resident.

To understand the need of promoting the philosophy of privacy, dignity, independence, choice, rights and fulfilment for all residents. Hours are 9am to 5pm 5 days out of 7 Alternative Weekends.

Job Responsibilities

  • Plans, designs and delivers programmes of activities, in consultation with Service users, their relatives and the Care Team, that meet the specific needs and requirements of Service Users.
  • Engages Service Users in activities such as conversations, letter writing, reading aloud, games or those associated with hobbies and interests
  • Organises group activities, such as art classes, film shows, handicraft groups, quizzes, board games, bingo, entertainment and group outings
  • Maintains links with the community
  • Carries out risk assessments of all planned activities
  • Assists with fundraising activities and events to finance entertainment and outings
  • Supports religious practices of Service Users by arranging visits and outings as appropriate
  • Maintains an inventory of equipment and resources
  • Records, monitors and maintains activities budget

Requirements:


  • Current DBS on the online update service would be an advantage.
  • Previous Care Experience
  • Understanding of Dementia and Challenging Behaviours
