Are you an experienced Launch and Integration Engineer seeking a new permanent role? We are supporting a permanent position that is Based in Warwick.

This is an exciting role in a new team where specialism in electrification will provide a real focus onthe electric powertrain and associated systems during the later stages of development.


Responsibilities:


  • HV systems integration, hands on configuration, support and optimisation of components that make up the high voltage vehicle powertrain.
  • Work alongside technology suppliers to oversee test and validation plans and ensure that 3rd party developments are progressing inline with the vehicle programme plan.
  • Support prototype and build teams as EV and Hybrid vehicles are assembled and tested at test facilities, both in the UK and abroad.
  • Support vehicle launch as the interface between vehicle teams, quality control, procurement and technical specialists to deliver the launch plan on time.
  • Advocate use of the fault management system in order to predictably reduce defects and contribute to delivery of a world class product.
  • Take ownership of the high voltage system with respect to vehicle build and testing activities.
  • Ensure that the high voltage electrical system is suitably controlled during vehicle build phases in line with the company electrical safety policy.

Requirements:


  • Significant experience of HV Powertrains (Battery to Driveshaft) within an automotive engineering environment.
  • Demonstrable understanding of electric powertrain architectures and underlying principles and technologies including thermal management, HV harnessing, electrical safety systems, serviceability and control strategies.
  • Experience in testing and debugging complex control systems using tools such as CANape, CANalyzer or CANoe.
  • Experience of system/component delivery within an APQP, six sigma or similar framework (FMEA, DVP, quality planning, PPAP etc) and full product lifecycle activities.
  • Articulate, selfmotivated, and able to work well on own initiative.
  • Possession of an Electronics, Control Systems, Automotive or similar honours engineering degree. Other recognised engineering qualifications combined with relevant significant experience will be considered.
  • Ability to support flexible working hours during occasional peaks of build activity.
  • Full driving licence is essential.
