Description

Are you an experienced Launch and Integration Engineer seeking a new permanent role? We are supporting a permanent position that is Based in Warwick.

This is an exciting role in a new team where specialism in electrification will provide a real focus onthe electric powertrain and associated systems during the later stages of development.

Responsibilities:

HV systems integration, hands on configuration, support and optimisation of components that make up the high voltage vehicle powertrain.
Work alongside technology suppliers to oversee test and validation plans and ensure that 3rd party developments are progressing inline with the vehicle programme plan.
Support prototype and build teams as EV and Hybrid vehicles are assembled and tested at test facilities, both in the UK and abroad.
Support vehicle launch as the interface between vehicle teams, quality control, procurement and technical specialists to deliver the launch plan on time.
Advocate use of the fault management system in order to predictably reduce defects and contribute to delivery of a world class product.
Take ownership of the high voltage system with respect to vehicle build and testing activities.
Ensure that the high voltage electrical system is suitably controlled during vehicle build phases in line with the company electrical safety policy.

Requirements:

Significant experience of HV Powertrains (Battery to Driveshaft) within an automotive engineering environment.
Demonstrable understanding of electric powertrain architectures and underlying principles and technologies including thermal management, HV harnessing, electrical safety systems, serviceability and control strategies.
Experience in testing and debugging complex control systems using tools such as CANape, CANalyzer or CANoe.
Experience of system/component delivery within an APQP, six sigma or similar framework (FMEA, DVP, quality planning, PPAP etc) and full product lifecycle activities.
Articulate, selfmotivated, and able to work well on own initiative.
Possession of an Electronics, Control Systems, Automotive or similar honours engineering degree. Other recognised engineering qualifications combined with relevant significant experience will be considered.
Ability to support flexible working hours during occasional peaks of build activity.
Full driving licence is essential.
