The role combines commercial, operational and digital elements at executive level with responsibility for delivery of targets for IAGC interline and partnership activities.

To create an effective and profitable network capability, for the group and build relationships with key stakeholders within IAG Cargo, and with partner airlines and interline carriers.

To champion and lead the partner airline customer proposition within IAG Cargo. To develop IAG Cargo's partnership programmes and transformation initiatives to drive performance, innovation and cooperation. To develop skills and capabilities across the team and beyond.

Reporting into the Partnerships & Interline Manager, the role is based at the IAG Cargo headquarters in London Heathrow.

Key Duties


Key Duties

  • Support of the delivery of IAGC partnerships strategy from an operational, digital and commercial perspective
  • Work with GHAs, IAGC stations and partner accounts globally to ensure seamless interline transfer capabilities worldwide between IAGC and partner airlines and work with internal and external stakeholders to identify and close gaps
  • Manage the operational and security requirements at hubs and worldwide stations necessary to unlock new commercial opportunities and new products by liaising with Security teams and Ops teams in all IAGC hubs and global stations
  • Work with the Worldwide Operations Commercial Support Manager and Outsourced Operations teams at ensuring prompt recovery of partners' cargo and provide appropriate report status from acceptance point until final delivery to the affected partner account
  • Support interline digital systems and processes (Freightos Interlines, EDI messaging, Salesforce for Interline)
  • Be responsible for seamless internal and external communications and reporting with regards to interline performance
  • Perform adhoc reports as required by Partnerships Manager e.g. global partner accounts' utilisation of capacity allocations on IAGC network; reconciliation between the interline commercial performance and the operational performance to drive awareness of book as flown and suggest recommendations to improve
  • Drive Sales for the Interline team by carrying out analysis and working with global sales to hunt new interline opportunities in high demand regions where IAGC capacity is constrained
  • Embrace new technology and drive forward new processes and working practices to advance partnership activity.
  • Develop, manage and deliver ad hoc projects.
  • Support other areas of Revenue Optimisation when required and needed
  • Ability to travel for meetings overseas if required

Person Specification

  • Track record of high performance and delivery of financial targets.
  • Understanding of commercial, operational and digital areas and customer facing roles, whilst building relationships across the business.
  • Strategically minded.
  • Ability to manage and build strong relationships with stakeholders, including third parties.
  • Proactive, taking the initiative to explore issues and generate new ideas and approaches.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High level of IT literacy with excellent Excel, Tableau and data analysis capability.
  • Takes responsibility for managing and prioritising own work whilst working under pressure and dealing with ambiguity to deliver results to deadlines.
  • Project management and proven record of delivering complex projects.
  • Proven ability to analyse data and make clear recommendations to the business.
  • Ability to tailor and present content to different audiences.
Experience


Essential Experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of the airline and cargo industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of B2B partnerships and alliances.
  • Experience in managing tradeoffs and using leverage to deliver benefit.
  • Numerate and accurate, with experience in data analysis, budgetary control and delivery of revenue targets.
  • Experience in creating & delivering strategic objectives.
  • Experience of international and crosscultural negotiations.

Desirable Experience

  • Spanish and/ or other languages would also be an asset
