Jackson Hogg are delighted to be working with an organisation based in Billingham on the position of a Finance Assistant.

Position Overview:


Responsibilities:


  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including invoices, purchase orders, receipts, and other documents.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure accuracy.
  • Process and monitor financial transactions, such as payments, expenses, and reimbursements.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, statements, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries related to financial matters.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial audits and ensure adherence to audit requirements.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to finance and accounting.

Requirements:


  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn and grow in the finance field.
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements is a plus.

Job Types:
Full-time, Temp to perm


Salary:
Up to £28,000.00 per year
