A UK leading multi-award winning building services contractor are currently seeking a MEP Fabrication Design Coordinator
in supporting their expanding BIM, Pre-Construction, Design & Operations teams at their fabulous new Head Office in Banbridge, as a fundamental role in managing the MEP design coordination on multiple large scale projects throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe, including decarbonisation, renewable energy, data centre, healthcare, commercial, high rise residential, educational, and airport projects.

Responsibilities, Skills & Competencies:


  • Overseeing the production and standards for all fabrication/workshop drawing creation.
  • Signing off all fabrication drawings for internal use within the fabrication workshops.
  • Analysis data obtained from the client and set out a clear report to assist with defining the project requirements.
  • Engage with BIM & Design teams to review the project scope and agree schedule of deliverables inline with project time constraints.
  • Manage the production of line trackers in line with project specific and company requirements.
  • Attend weekly project specific team meetings to review the status of the project and raise / review any project risks or concerns with the team and agree corrective actions where applicable.
  • Engage with the commercial estimating teams to brief them on our proposed scope of works, anticipated delivery methods and timescales so they can prepare costings inline.
  • Prepare handover packs for secured project to enable seamless internal handover to Operations and Contracts teams.
  • Report progress of the project to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by Management.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:


Essential Criteria:


  • Two years' experience working in a similar role within the construction sector.
  • Previous experience in coordinating / managing projects.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office i.e. Mainly Project, Excel, Word, Outlook & PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written including the ability to liaise with staff at all levels.
  • Excellent organization, planning, analytical and attention to detail skills.
  • Strong problemsolving skills with the ability to resolve discrepancies that may arise.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work under pressure on own initiatives to achieve self and team targets.

Desired Criteria:


  • Previous experience working in an engineering process pipework background.
  • An understanding of mechanical fabrication and constructability within the piping sector
