About the Opportunity
Victoria Production Engineering are recruiting for a CNC lathe setter/operator based at our bespoke Manufacturing facility in Denton.

As a CNC setter/operator you will be responsible for manufacturing close tolerance aerospace and defence components to customer drawings and specifications.

Essential Skills

• Ability to program/set and run Mazak lathes under mínimal supervision
• An understanding of technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail
• The ability to use shop floor inspection equipment
• Micrometre/Vernier/Thread gauges etc

Desired Skills

• A strong level of knowledge in inspection equipment and techniques
• Product knowledge i.e. correct tip grade selection, cutting tools, new technology

Desired Experience
A minimum of 3 years of programming and setting Mazak lathes with

• Y axis
• Twin spindle
