Yard Operative?

Reporting to the Depot Supervisor you will play a key part in our client's hire operation. Ensuring that the depot yard is maintained to a high standard and organised in a way that when orders for hires come in they can be dispatched quickly and safely.

What will I be doing?

Receive orders and ensure all equipment is ready for hire, with paperwork complete
Monitor and rotate daily battery usage
Accepting and processing on and off hires into the depot
Service and maintain hire equipment, including traffic lights, VMS, CCTV, and trailers
Own the internal tagging system for products
Recording and reporting of damages at off hire
Ensuring the yard is always tidy and presentable
Ensure all daily depot tasks are completed
Accountable for weekly stock control checks
Manage the stock room for the depot, checking upon receiving and ensuring supplies readily available
General housekeeping tasks within the depot
