Starting salary will increase to £38,350 to £43,524 from September 2023*An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Legal Services Department for a permanent position as a Legal Executive in the Legal Services Department at Kent Police Coldharbour Police Complex, London Road, Maidstone.

The objective of DVPO's is to enhance the protection of victims and allow better management of perpetrators.


There is a need for a qualified Legal Executive, or an equivalent legal qualification, who will be required to act as an advocates in the Magistrates' Court, on behalf of the Chief Constable of Kent Police, to seek such DVPO's.


In addition, the post holder will be required to manage a personal case load which includes other areas of work such as licensing, civil injunctions, crime enquiries and other civil orders that the Legal Services Department process.


You should be a Legal Executive or have an equivalent legal qualification, with advocacy experience, preferably in the Magistrates' Court and have previous experience of working in an internal police legal department.

A knowledge of police policies and procedures would be beneficial.

Your own transport and a valid driving license are essential to this role.
