The postholder will lead on and be the main point of contact for all schools, sixth forms, colleges, career advisors and other training providers for the purpose of student recruitment and wider participation in further and higher education at Bishop Burton College, Riseholme College and University Centre Bishop
Burton.

The postholder will attend student recruitment events, school career sessions and conventions, together with other relevant on
- and off-site events in order to promote the Colleges' and University Centre's courses and recruit students. Working with wider colleagues and the Marketing Team, the postholder will also contribute to college online and printed materials including website, presentations, social media, prospectuses and events programmes.

Whilst the postholder will be expected to work across both of the college campuses at Riseholme in
Lincolnshire and Bishop Burton in East Yorkshire, the role will be based at the Bishop Burton campus.

The postholder may be required to undertake other responsibilities which are commensurate with their abilities and experience.

  • Support the Director of Marketing and Academic Teams with the development, coordination and implementation of the Schools & Colleges Engagement Strategy for both Bishop Burton and
Riseholme campuses, including the college's post-GCSE and degree-level offer

  • With support from the Marketing & PR Manager the postholder will lead on the coordination and implementation of tactical activities to develop and enhance links with target schools, sixth forms and colleges
  • Develop new opportunities for schools liaison activities both digital and physical
  • Attend and/or coordinate attendance by college representatives at careers events in local and regional schools
  • Work with the Marketing & PR Manager to develop, coordinate and facilitate student recruitment visits from schools and careers services to the college including Taster and Welcome

  • Coordinate and facilitate visits from stakeholder groups to the college
  • Provide the main point of contact with schools, careers centres and other training providers for the purpose of student recruitment and widening participation
  • Lead on the coordination, direct communication and other marketing activities to positively promote the college's provision to feeder schools, sixth forms and colleges
  • Monitor and analyse data to inform tactical choices to maximise the effectiveness of activities, in support of the overall Schools & Colleges Engagement Strategy and student recruitment targets
  • Monitor competitors' activities with regard to schools liaison/schoolstargeted activity
  • Create monthly reports and analyse results to spot and understand trends, opportunities, and gaps, in support of the Schools & Colleges Engagement Strategy and recruitment targets
  • Actively be involved in the College's approach to Widening Participation, working with the wider marketing team
  • Prepare and deliver presentations (in person, online and recorded)
  • Support with the delivery of social media marketing: including creating and executing social media posts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok and YouTube
  • Support with website content in connection with events and other marketing activity as appropriate
  • Working with other marketing colleagues to generate and execute campaign ideas to support brand messages and key sector/segments. Track, monitor, adjust and report on executed activities to the Marketing & PR Manager to inform planning
  • Support with the development of marketing collateral
  • Take part in all college events such as Spring Live
The role involves working flexibly and includes some weekends, early mornings and evenings. Bishop

Burton College includes the Riseholme College campus in Lincolnshire and the postholder will be required to carry out duties at both campuses.


Please note the role will require some physical activity around the setting up and taking down of exhibition materials, trade stands and attendance at schools events.
