The overarching principle is that people should only be required to pay what they can afford.

People will be entitled to funding from their local authority based on a means-test and some will be entitled to free care.

The Financial Co-ordinator applies the Council's financial and charging policies for Adult Social Care clients through the delivery of efficient and effective information and advice.

They Assess a customers' ability to pay towards care services provided, monitoring, and preventing debt, provide welfare benefit advice and assistance to maximise household and individual income, underpin the Services' Direct Payment offer and provide robust support, information and advice.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate they are enthusiastic, reliable, good communicator who works on their own initiative and as part of a team.

They will be dealing with people financial information, therefore a high level of accuracy and a good attention to detail is essential.

This position is for a fixed term which ends on 31/03/2025.
