Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated senior clinician with leadership skills and potential, who adopts a values led 'can do' leadership style within a climate of constant change and uncertainty.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, engaging and collaborative clinical leader to help shape the future of health and social care for the citizens of Herefordshire and Worcestershire by joining the medical leadership team of the Integrated Care Board.

This role provides the opportunity to be part of a change of the way we deliver health and care services in our ICS.

The applicant will show a collective form of leadership - being able to bring together the concerted effort of many people working together at different places in the system & at different levels, rather than being a single leader acting unilaterally.

This role crosses boundaries, both physical, organisational, professional and virtual and as such will extend individual leaders beyond the usual limits of responsibilities and authority located in their employing organisation.

It will entail a significantly wider focus than working inter-organisationally and more than joint working/partnership as it involves a co-created agenda & practice and demonstrating the skills to achieve this.

  • Provide clinical leadership to the Mental health programme and the Mental health collaborative arrangements through advice, guidance and participation in meetings/workshops to support delivery. This includes services for neurodiverse people such as autism and ADHD.
  • Engagement with Clinicians and Leaders across the system to progress delivery of these programme.
  • Supporting and working alongside the ICB Programme Director for Mental health in their role.
  • Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, provide professional support to the CMO in matters relating to the relevant professional colleagues across the clinical and care workforce employed by the ICB and will also support CMO responsibilities for regional engagement with all other clinical networks.
  • Be responsible for supporting the clinical information needs that enable the ICB to achieve the strategic goals described in its strategic plan.

Herefordshire and Worcestershire ICS and its partners work collaboratively to commission, plan, monitor, deliver and improve health and care services for over 806,000 people across two counties and surrounding boundaries.

With a workforce of over 300 employees and a budget of £1.19 billion to commission hospital, community and mental health services, it is a dynamic, forward-looking and vibrant place to work, set within the backdrop of some of the country's most beautiful countryside.

We provide a supportive and collaborative environment, offering opportunities for our staff to reach their full potential and develop a rewarding career.

We enable our employees to achieve a positive work-life balance through a blend of collaborative workplace attendance combined with regular home working.

Joining our inclusive and innovative team comes with a range of attractive benefits including:

  • Employee Assistance Programmes and access to a wealth of online health and wellbeing support
  • Competitive NHS Pension Scheme
  • Comprehensive opportunities to learn new skills and to develop your career within a caring and inclusive environment
  • Generous holiday entitlement, which increases in line with service, with the opportunity to purchase additional leave.
  • Flexible working patterns to support worklife balance.

If you are an enthusiastic, inclusive individual committed to supporting others and ready for the next step in your career then we could be the perfect place to help you flourish.
